Repucom Hires Commercial Ops EVP in Germany

In Cologne, sports broadcast measurement specialist Repucom has appointed Lars Stegelmann as EVP Commercial Operations, in charge of the new business teams in the German-speaking region, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Portugal and Turkey.

Lars StegelmannRepucom's sports sponsorship evaluation offer includes the measurement of brand activity at events and the performance of rival brands across the sponsorship inventory. In 2013, the firm acquired Milan-based Immagine & Sport, which provides a range of market research and media ROI analysis services, as well as target audience profiling.

Stegelmann (pictured), who has two degrees in business management and social economics, has nine years' experience as a sales and marketing expert with a focus on sports and entertainment. During his career, he has worked for MATCH Hospitality and the FIFA Football World Cup in South Africa in 2010, and for UEFA in connection with both EURO 2012 and the UEFA Champions League final 2011 in Munich. Most recently he developed the commercial concept for the new Formula E series of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Earlier, he spent more than seven years working for international consulting companies PricewaterhouseCoopers and Roland Berger Strategy.

In his new role, Stegelmann reports to Stephan Schröder, Repucom's MD for DACH, who comments: 'Lars Stegelmann is an expert in the sports and entertainment business and thanks to his experience we will continue to grow in the German-speaking and European region. His expertise helps us and our existing team of experts to refine our connected solutions approach and to open up new business opportunities.'
