Web Analyst Tealium Hires AsiaPac General Manager

US web analytics and tag management firm Tealium Management has appointed digital tech industry veteran Andy Clark as General Manager Asia Pacific. The firm has also hired Catherine Ballantyne as Senior Solutions Engineer in its Sydney office.

Tealium was co-founded in 2008 by former WebSideStory execs Mike Anderson and Ali Behnam. (WebSideStory changed its name to Visual Sciences, was then acquired by Omniture and is now part of Adobe). The firm offers enterprise tag management to help organizations improve their ROI by enhancing the performance of their existing marketing programs. In February, it closed a $30.7m Series D round of funding, to expand operations domestically and internationally.

Clark (pictured) joins in Singapore, where he will support demand for real-time customer data solutions in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and India. Most recently, he served as Group VP, Asia Pacific for digital content delivery specialist Limelight Networks, prior to which, he was Director of Sales and Operations, North Asia for network security software developer Crossbeam Systems. Earlier he served as Country Manager, Japan for RightNow technologies, and he led the integration of software efforts for IBM in the region.

Ballantyne joins following the firm's move to a larger office in Sydney. Previously, she was a Senior Consultant at Marketo, and she has held digital tech roles at Oracle, Acxiom, and IBM. At Tealium, Ballantyne will help brand-marketing teams select the appropriate technology for their cross-channel customer experience initiatives.
