Walsh to Leave IAB Australia after Just Six Months

In Australia, digital publishing industry body the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has confirmed that its Director of Research Lisa Walsh will leave the organisation before the end of this year.

Lisa WalshWalsh (pictured) joined in June from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), where she worked for more than thirteen years, latterly as Head of Insights, and prior to this she spent more than a decade working for Nielsen in media research and consumer marketing roles. At IAB, she replaced Gai Le Roy, who now works as a Media Consultant for Gateway Research.

Alice Manners CEO of IAB Australia, confirmed to online publication Mumbrella: 'We have discussed our plans for 2016 with Lisa and can confirm that she will be leaving IAB later this year. Her departure will allow us to work more closely with the UK and US IAB measurement teams to ensure we continue to drive measurement best practice for Australian agencies and brands. Exciting changes lie ahead'.

IAB is currently in the process of overhauling its digital audience measurement services in the country, with enhancements covering mobile audience measurement, more granular local reporting, and cross-digital ratings for desktops, smartphones and tablets. Daily ratings for digital content including video will be added in early 2016. The body's ratings services are provided by Nielsen, who won a sole supplier contract a year ago.
