Visual Analytics Firm Curalate Raises $27.5m

Visual analytics platform Curalate has secured $27.5m in a Series C round of investment, bringing its total funding to date to $40m.

Apu GuptaCuralate was launched with an exclusive focus on Pinterest, but has since extended its reach to cover the content of other sites. Its image analytics algorithms and marketing tools are used to understand 'visual conversations', increase fan engagement, and grow revenue across Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook and Pinterest.

The firm's new funding was led by NEA, which was the lead investor in its Series A and B rounds - with participation from existing investors First Round Capital and MentorTech Ventures.
