Curalate Extends Platform with Instagram Analysis

February 25 2013

US-based Curalate, which offers a platform that applies image analytics to social media conversations, has extended its solution to enable users to track conversations on photo-sharing site Instagram; adding to the firm's existing ability to analyze activity across Pinterest.

Apu GuptaThe Philadelphia-based firm uses image recognition algorithms to make sense of conversations on visual sites, and enable brands to measure, monitor and extend brand engagement.

Its new integrated platform has been launched to enable brands to understand image popularity across multiple platforms; consolidate conversations on Pinterest and Instagram into a single feed; and track, segment and compare performance of Instagram campaigns.

CEO and co-founder Apu Gupta (pictured) comments: 'By adding Instagram to our successful Pinterest solution we're helping brands see the bigger picture. Curalate enables brands to engage audiences across networks based on what's most relevant rather than what's most recent.'

In January, Curalate secured $3m in Series A financing, adding to the $750k it raised in seed funding last May.
