Change of CEO for Location Intelligence Firm Verve

In the US, location intelligence specialist Verve has moved founder Tom Kenney into the role of President and Chief Executive Officer.

Tom KenneyOfficially Verve Wireless, the company runs a mobile technology platform combining location data with predictive targeting capabilities, which allows clients to engage active consumers near and within points of purchase. Headquartered in New York City, Verve also has offices in Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, London, Eastern Europe, India and Southeast Asia. Kenney (pictured) set up the company in 2005, and has served as its President and Chief Innovation Officer for the past year. Prior to Verve, he spent five years with venture capital fund BlueRun Ventures, and he worked for Nokia Oy, where he oversaw investments in mobile Internet technologies. Earlier in his career, Kenney held various management roles in the telecoms industry.

In his new position, Kenney's priority will be to further grow the business in the US and abroad. He replaces Nada Stirratt who joined as CEO in April 2015. Jonathan Ebinger, General Partner, BlueRun Ventures and member of Verve's Board, comments: 'Tom has the essential leadership and industry experience to take Verve to the next level and further penetrate the $54bn US mobile advertising market.
