Deloitte Buys Personalized Data Firm Web Decisions

In the US, accountancy and consulting firm Deloitte has acquired omni-channel personalized data analytics and data-driven campaign management company Web Decisions for an undisclosed sum.

Angel Hollis VaccaroWeb Decisions was founded in 2002 by data marketing execs Tom Newkirk, Scot Thomas and Kim Addington and is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The firm uses statistical modeling, analysis, data enhancement and social media marketing solutions, to deliver targeted marketing messages through direct mail, e-mail, SMS/MMS and social media. It also offers alwaysOn, a customer engagement platform which recognizes customers' interactions at any touch point, then displays relevant content in real-time, based on the individual's purchasing behavior and profile.

Following the deal, Web Decision's capabilities will be used to enhance Deloitte Digital's Customer Experience Value (CXv) personalization offering. Addington says the team at Web Decisions is looking forward to enhancing this service with data-driven insights into what customers need, when they need it, and how best to deliver it.
