New CEO for Socialbakers
Czech Republic-based social media analytics firm Socialbakers has appointed Yuval Ben-Itzhak as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Robert Lang who left in April. The firm has also re-appointed investor Martin Huml as President and COO.
 Socialbakers' offers includes competitive intelligence, benchmarking and brand performance metrics. Ben-Itzhak (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' business and technology leadership experience, working in both private and public companies. He most recently served as CTO of content discovery platform Outbrain, before which he was CTO at AVG Technologies, and a member of the leadership team that took the company public in 2012. Prior to AVG, Yuval was CTO of cybersecurity company Finjan, and he founded web application security business Kavado. Lang, whom he replaces, joined the firm in 2015 from online ad company Criteo.
Commenting on the appointment, co-founder and Executive Chairman Jan Rezab said: 'We welcome Yuval and look forward to benefiting from his seasoned leadership skills in technology and products. His past career successes are directly applicable to the opportunity and the future of Socialbakers and we believe that his rare blend of experience, leadership and drive will take the company to new levels'.
Huml re-joins as President and COO having previously held the roles between 2012 and 2015, when he helped build the company's systems and processes, raise institutional capital, and take it global through the opening of offices on four continents. During his career, Huml co-founded alternative energy firm OnSite Power Holdings, ran his own investment consulting firm Runway Capital, was Executive Chairman of smart metering specialist ArKion Systems, and founded private equity fund Crecera Finance Management Company.
