MRSS Names New Asia Pacific MD
India-based digital research firm MRSS has appointed former GfK and Nielsen exec Swee Woon Tan as Managing Director, Asia Pacific for its recently acquisition Market Probe Asia Pacific in Singapore. He replaces Saji Kumar, who will guide the integration until the end of the year.
 Acquired by MRSS last month, Market Probe Asia works across the public and private sectors and has a licence to undertake Singapore government projects. Woon Tan (pictured) joins with more than twelve years' research and industry leadership experience. Most recently, he worked for GfK as Regional Director, APAC, before which he was Head of Retail Practice at Nielsen. Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at a public listed company in China, as well as for the Singapore government.
In addition, Michelle Ng joins as a Director. She is a senior financial manager and certified public accountant, with twenty years of experience across various industries and HR functions. In a statement, MRSS said Market Probe Asia Pacific's outgoing MD Saji Kumar will guide the merger until the end of 2017.
MRSS Chairman Raj Sharma described the appointments as the first step towards integration post acquisition, adding that MRSS sees APAC as a 'vital growth region' in the firm's expansion plans.
