Canadian Monitoring Firm CEDROM is Latest Cision Buy

Media intelligence and communications specialist Cision has acquired Canadian digital media monitoring and analytics solutions specialist CEDROM-SNi from its founders and from printing firm Transcontinental, which held a 50% stake in the business. Terms were not disclosed.

Nicole GuillotCEDROM offers services through two brands, Eureka.cc in Canada, and Europresse.com in France. Following the sale the firm's c.110 staff will remain in its headquarters in Montréal and satellite offices of Québec City, Ottawa, Toronto and Paris. According to Cision, the deal provides clients with access to thousands of sources of media content from print, radio, television, web and social media, helping them better understand and quantify the impact of their communications and media coverage in both Canada and France.

As reported earlier this week, Cision is also acquiring measurement and analysis specialist PRIME Research, for an undisclosed sum.
