Join the Dots Promotion Puts Talent Front and Centre

Manchester, UK-based Join the Dots has promoted Talent Strategy Director Aimee Welsh to its leadership team. The firm has also welcomed seven new starters since the beginning of the year, while promoting seven existing staff members to the role of Commercial Director.

Aimee WelshJoin the Dots was acquired by its senior management team last year and combines primary research with psychology and behavioural economics. It also sets up and manages online communities, and in the autumn it launched a dedicated qualitative research unit called Spirit. The firm, which currently employees 150 people at its offices in Manchester, Singapore and New York, has just restructured into two teams led by Andy Cumming and Adel Mann, who will focus on growing sector specialisms.

Welsh (pictured) has worked for the firm for the past eleven years, initially in research roles including SRE and RD, before moving into her present position last year. In her current role, she is responsible for staff recruitment, development, training, engagement, management and retention, and her promotion is designed to ensure these areas remain an integral part of the organisation's future plans. MD Quentin Ashby comments: 'We're delighted to welcome Aimee onto the leadership team - she plays a vital role at Join the Dots in ensuring we put as much effort into retaining and developing our people as we do in attracting new talent. Our people are key to helping our clients understand their customers and as a result make better business decisions. This is a business decision that we're extremely proud of'.

The seven new members of staff include former MMR Head of Research Ellie Osborne as Research Director, and former MMR SRE Lauren Hall as Research Manager. The business has also taken on a fifth wave of recruits for its MRS-approved graduate development programme.
