Curiosity Research founder Andy Cumming and his former employee Sally Lewis have joined UK-based consumer insight agency Join the Dots, in Manchester, as Research Director and Senior Research Manager respectively.
Founded in 1998 by former RI Director Pete Comley, Join the Dots (previously Virtual Surveys) pioneered web site research in Europe, and now also provides advertising and customer experience research, product and service optimisation and online community building and management from its offices in Manchester, Hampshire and central London.
Cumming joins with more than fifteen years' experience working both client and agency side. For the past six years, he ran Liverpool's Curiosity Research, which focused on driving ROI for clients. Prior to this, he was Customer Experience Leader at insurance firm More Than, and Strategy & Insight Manager at RSA (Royal & SunAlliance). Earlier in his career, he served as Chair of GIMRA (the General Insurance Market Research Association).
At Curiosity, Lewis managed the data visualisation function. Before this, she led the Insight and Innovation team at Keep Britain Tidy, and worked as Field Controller at Morris Hargreaves McIntyre.
In their new roles, both will work closely with Research Operations Manager Adele Mann, who comments: 'We are confident that by recruiting staff of the calibre of Andy and Sally, we will be able to achieve our goals of exceeding client demands while moving our offer forward.'
