Former Nielsen Man Named Integral Ad Science CMO

In the US, advertising intelligence specialist Integral Ad Science (IAS) has appointed former Nielsen/Yahoo! exec Tony Marlow as Chief Marketing Officer. He takes up his new position on April 29.

Tony MarlowHeadquartered in New York City with offices in thirteen countries, IAS, which was acquired by Vista Equity Partners last year, is known for its TRAQ Scores (TRue Advertising Quality), which evaluate the quality of media environments. The firm is also Media Rating Council accredited for its cross-platform Sophisticated Invalid Traffic (SIVT) detection, as well as for viewable ad impression measurement.

Marlow (pictured) will join from big data company Infogroup, where he currently serves as CMO, before which, he spent more than eight years at Yahoo!, where he latterly served as VP, Head of Field Marketing and Insights, responsible for leading the Sales Insights and Measurement, B2B Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales Learning & Development divisions. Earlier, Marlow worked for Nielsen Online for five years, the last two of which were spent as a Research Director.

In his new role, Marlow will lead market growth initiatives and drive both marketing and communication strategy globally. He will report directly to former Yahoo! colleague, IAS CEO Lisa Utzschneider, who comments: 'We have ambitious goals at IAS and Tony's passion for data and storytelling makes him the ideal leader for this role. Throughout his career, Tony has been a true translator of complex ideas and data into meaningful messages for brands and advertisers. We are thrilled to have him on board to lead the development of those stories on behalf of IAS.'
