Integral Ad Science Names New CEO

In the US, advertising intelligence specialist Integral Ad Science (IAS) has appointed former Yahoo! exec Lisa Utzschneider as Chief Executive, replacing Scott Knoll who has chosen to move into an advisory role.

Headquartered in New York City with offices in thirteen countries, IAS, which was recently acquired by Vista Equity Partners, is known for its TRAQ Scores (TRue Advertising Quality), which evaluate the quality of media environments. The firm is also Media Rating Council accredited for its cross-platform Sophisticated Invalid Traffic (SIVT) detection, as well as for viewable ad impression measurement.

Utzschneider (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience, having most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer for Yahoo! Prior to this she worked as Amazon's VP of Global Advertising Sales, developing the company's global ad business through product, marketing, sales and operations strategies. Before Amazon, Utzschneider spent a decade at Microsoft, leading strategic and organizational advertising initiatives.

In her new role, she will focus on leading expansion into new global markets and pushing into new advancements such as OTT and audio. Knoll comments: 'Over the past eight years, it has been an honor to work with the incredible team at IAS and to lead the company as it grew from just eighteen employees to more than 600 around the globe. Back in July, I decided that the time was right to bring someone else to lead IAS into the next phase of its development. Lisa will be a great leader and I look forward to helping her navigate this new stage at IAS in an advisory capacity'.
