Integral Ad Science Names Sharma Chief Product Officer

In New York, digital ad verification specialist Integral Ad Science (IAS) has appointed AOL's former Head of Product Tom Sharma as Chief Product Officer. He takes up the position November 2.

Vista Equity Partners-owned IAS, which has operations in seventeen offices across twelve countries, provides advertisers and publishers with insight and technology to protect their ad investments from fraud and unsafe environments, as well as to capture consumer attention. The firm also offers a CTV solution, providing global invalid traffic (IVT) and viewability support for both programmatic and direct buys across all apps and providers.

Sharma (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience of building digital media and advertising products. Most recently, he was the SVP and Head of Product at out-of-home ad agency Intersection where he led product, user experience design, engineering and technical operations. Prior to that, he founded Impact Digital Media, providing product and tech consulting services to media companies and studios. Earlier, he was the VP, Head of Product at AOL, and he held senior roles at NBCUniversal and Hulu.

In his new role, Sharma will support the introduction of a brand safety and suitability solution for CTV advertisers and publishers in 2021. He replaces Dale Older, who has recently joined online video ad and analytics tech firm Innovid as its first Chief Product Officer.
