Behaviorally Debuts 'Flash.AI' Pack Design Analytics Tool

Shopper insights specialist Behaviorally (previously known as PRS IN VIVO USA) has launched an AI-based computer vision technology called Flash.AI, for evaluating early-stage packaging designs.

Using image recognition to visually compare designs against Behaviorally's database of more than 10,000 pack and shelf designs, the new Flash.AI solution defines and diagnoses the factors that influence consumer behavior and drive shopper growth.

According to the firm, this allows brand teams and agencies to access iterative behavioral decision support much earlier in the design development process for 'restages' and innovations. The company says the solution also facilitates benchmarking of the competition at any stage of a product's lifecycle.

According to Ruben Nazario, VP of Innovation, through the tool, brands and agencies can tap into the behavior of millions of consumers to obtain category specific results within 120 minutes. Nazario adds: 'The design development process often lacks the voice-of-the-consumer. While other models in the market are largely data algorithms, Flash.AI views and processes designs like humans through image recognition and replicates the actual consumer decision making process based on our behavioral framework of benefits and barriers.'
