MENA MD Promotions for Kantar
In the MENA region, Kantar has promoted Amol Ghate to Managing Director, MENAP and Nermeen Bedeir to Managing Director, Insights Division, Egypt.
 Ghate was previously the group's CEO Middle East, Insights Division, and brings more than twenty years' experience to the new role. He has led Kantar's largest client relationships in the region, working on brand equity, segmentation and positioning, portfolio management, brand communications, media optimisation, new product development and pricing; and made key contributions to the Arab as Consumer study, helping brands grow market share in Saudi Arabia, and the BrandZ Top 30 Most Valuable Emirati and Saudi Brands report. He also leads the Analytics practice across Middle East & Africa.
He reports to Adeola Tejumola, the group's MD Middle East and Africa, Insights Division, who comments: 'As [Ghate] adds North Africa and Pakistan to his remit, we look forward to him further driving our vision of growth in the region and know that both our staff and our clients are in great hands'.
Bedeir (pictured) also has two decades of Middle East and Africa market experience, focused on the voice of the consumer and working on projects from turning around declining brands to exploring product development innovations and pushing new potential geographies. Ghate comments: 'In Nermeen I know we have a leader who will provide our clients and employees with a partner who not only truly understands the important role consumer insight plays in building strong brands but also someone who is able to work with brands to help develop appropriate strategies to leverage those insights. These are exciting times for Kantar in Egypt, we have recently launched Marketplace, our market research platform that allows for the fast turnaround of insights designed for marketing agility which will redefine that way people think of research'.
