Civicom Launches MyQual DIY Tool for Indie Researchers

In the US, Civicom Marketing Research Services has launched MyQual, a DIY research package for independent researchers offering an all-in-one tool for depth interviews and focus groups.

Founded in 2000 by marketer David West (pictured), Civicom offers telephone and web-enabled in-depth interviews and focus groups through its CyberFacility. Solutions also include CCamfocus in-person, an in-facility research recording and streaming service; Chatterbox, an asynchronous research platform for online communities and bulletin boards; and ThoughtLight Mobile Insights App, a mobile qual tool for collecting in-moment insights. In addition, the company offers a translation service, 'TranscriptionWing', and recruitment suite CiviSelect.

The new MyQual package can be used for online self-directed qual data gathering using three components: a web room for DIY interviews supported with a stimuli upload feature, recording, private backroom chat, and audio conferencing using the firm's conferencing technology; project curation features with clipping and storyboarding; and a mobile insights app for homework assignments. Designed exclusively for market research use, the firm says MyQual provides independent researchers with 'control over their own research execution from start to finish'.
