Former dunnhumby Exec Named WPP CFO

Marcoms giant WPP has announced that John Rogers has decided to step down as Chief Financial Officer, and will be succeeded by former dunnhumby CFO Joanne Wilson.

Joanne WilsonRogers joined in 2019, after overseeing Sainsbury's retailer Argos, and having previously been CFO of J Sainsbury. According to a statement, he is now looking to pursue 'broader executive opportunities' outside the company, and he will step down following the finalisation of the 2022 Annual Report & Accounts next year.

Wilson (pictured), who is currently the CFO of soft drinks company Britvic, will take over from Rogers on a basic salary of £740k, plus a potential 200% more in annual performance-related bonus. Earlier she worked at Tesco in a number of financial and commercial roles, including CFO of Tesco-owned customer data science company dunnhumby. She began her career at KPMG, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent three years in Hong Kong. In addition, Wilson is currently a non-executive director of Informa.
