New Investor Buys Majority of Madison Logic

Investment firm BC Partners is to acquire a majority stake in New York and London-based Account Based Marketing (ABM) specialist Madison Logic, from private equity firm Clarion Capital Partners. Others including the firm's CEO and co-founders will retain their minority shareholdings.

Tom O'ReganMadison Logic's ML Platform facilitates global multi-channel ABM activation and measurement via a proprietary data set, allowing client firms to identify the accounts most likely to purchase from them, accelerate the customer journey and shorten sales cycles. Since Clarion acquired its controlling stake in December 2016, the company has enjoyed rapid organic growth backed by investments in technology. The firms say BC Partners' involvement will accelerate its growth trajectory via 'increased technology platform functionality and service delivery, as well as expanding capabilities in new industries, geographies, and advertising mediums'. BC focuses on digital commerce, marketing and transformation in four core sectors - TMT, Healthcare, Business Services & Industrials, and Consumer - and its investments include Valtech, which designs, builds and runs digital experience, commerce and connected platforms; and subscription-based higher education industry service provider EAB.

Along with CEO Tom O'Regan (pictured) and co-founders Vin Turk (COO) and Erik Matlick, Clarion will retain an ownership stakes in the business and continue to support it in partnership with BC, whose Chairman Raymond Svider comments: 'Madison Logic embodies the key themes that we look for at BC Partners and within the Technology sector: it is an industry leader in a secularly growing market with multiple avenues for growth and a strong management team'. O'Regan says the team are 'thrilled to now continue in the next stage of our very ambitious growth path with BC Partners, and confident that this will unlock significant new growth opportunities across the business'.

The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory and antitrust approvals. Web sites: www.madisonlogic.com and www.bcpartners.com .
