Senior Shuffle for Ipsos India

Ipsos India is making three changes to its leadership team from the beginning of April, including moving Vincy Jathanna to the newly created role of Vice President of Operations.

Vincy JathannaJathanna (pictured), who has been with the company for eleven years, currently serves as Executive Director, Head of Ipsos Observer, India, having joined the business in 2012 as an AD. Prior to this he spent eleven years at Nielsen, latterly as Manager, Client Solutions. In his new role he will report to Haribabu Rajendran, MD of Ipsos DSC in India, who says Jathanna is 'best placed' for the position. Jathanna's new role is based in the Ipsos Data Service Centre, which opened last year and already has a team of 400.

The firm has also promoted Shailesh Tiwari, Research Director, to lead the Observer service line in India, reporting to Vivek Gupta, MD Research. Tiwari has spent more than a decade working for the Observer unit, handling large scale projects.

Separately, from April Karthik Kankanhalli, also a Research Director at Observer, will drive the CX, channel performance (CHP), automotive and BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) sectors. He previously held key roles at Kantar, Nielsen and JD Power, and will also report to Gupta.

Ipsos India CEO Amit Adarkar says of the changes: 'India is a key priority market for Ipsos. And we are happy to harness the potential of our highly capable staff to step up in taking up new, challenging responsibilities for personal growth and leapfrogging and leveraging the business potential in our high growth market'.
