GfK Combines US Healthcare Units
In the US, GfK has consolidated its three healthcare market research operations - GfK Market Measures, GfK Strategic Marketing and GfK V2 - into one entity called GfK Healthcare, which will provide health care manufacturers with access to a global single resource.
 The firm says that with 275 employees, the combined company becomes the largest provider of custom health care marketing research in the US.
The three companies, which have operated separately since being acquired by GfK in 2005, are combining in response to client requests and project requirements that demand increasingly closer cooperation between them.
GfK Healthcare will maintain its staff and operations in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; East Hanover and Princeton, New Jersey. In addition, the three companies' executive leadership will continue in comparable roles in the new single organization:- Richard Vanderveer, former group CEO of GfK US Healthcare Companies and CEO of GfK V2, will assume the same lead role as CEO in GfK Healthcare
- Barry Zimmerman, former President of GfK Market Measures, will serve as President and COO
- Dan Fitzgerald, former Group EVP of GfK US Healthcare Companies, will serve as CFO.
- Brian Hull, former President of GfK Strategic Marketing, will serve as Chief Consulting Officer
- Jim Callandrillo, former COO of GfK Market Measures, will serve as Chief Research and Operations Officer
- Maureen McLaughlin, former CMO of GfK Market Measures, will become CMO in the new organization.
