David KleinGlobal consumer research and consulting firm OTX (Online Testing eXchange) has hired David Klein as Senior Vice President in its TV Entertainment Group, based in the firm’s Los Angeles headquarters.

Klein has more than 15 years’ experience in the research industry, including senior management positions at Centris, TNS, ASI and The Dohring Company, where he worked on media and entertainment brands such as Scripps, MTV Networks, DirectTV, Fox Entertainment, Google and Time Warner Cable. His experience includes program testing, ad/copy testing, audience measurement, multiplatform viewing and distribution – across both traditional and emerging platforms.

In his new role, Klein will report to SVP Aaron Pacquette, and becomes part of the team responsible for the firm’s syndicated TV tracking product TV Dailies. He will also work on program testing, brand health tracking, and the company’s pre-testing product AdCEP.

‘David is an early adopter of web-based research tools, as alternatives to conventional methodologies,’ said Bruce Friend, President, OTX Client Development. ‘He is immersed in the challenges and opportunities our TV/Entertainment clients face, and will be another valuable asset we offer to aid and guide their brand, content and distribution initiatives.’

The firm, which has offices in London, Los Angeles, New York, Cincinnati, Miami, and Chicago, recently launched its FanScore movie ranking system, which combines the influence of critics’ reviews with word-of-mouth audience feedback.
