Pharma and biotech specialist TargetRx has hired Dave Dornstreich as Vice President of Business Development and David Deutsch as Vice President of Client Service and Development.

Dornstreich brings more than 20 years’ pharmaceutical and healthcare industry experience in sales, sales management, marketing and product development, most recently as VP of Sales for Ingenix company i3 Pharma Informatics. Before this he worked as Chief Revenue Offices for Mirixa Corporation, and prior to that he spent eight years as VP of Sales for Verispan. Earlier roles included Quintiles, Ciba-Geigy, IMS, Knoll Pharmaceutical and Colgate Palmolive. He holds a BA in political science from Hofstra University.

Deutsch joins from IMS Health where he was Senior Principal and Oncology Thought Leader at IMS Health. Earlier he worked at the Maryland State Department of Health, the Johns Hopkins Hospital Health System, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and the UK’s National Health Service; and at Baxter International, G.D. Searle, Bristol Myers Squibb, Quintiles, Datamonitor, P\S\L Research International and the MattsonJack Group. He also founded Biotext, a strategic market research and medical communications agency, which was merged into Quintiles Transnational. He holds an MPH in health services management from Johns Hopkins University.

Craig Scott, CEO of TargetRx, says that in the current economic climate pharmas and biotechs are ‘looking to reevaluate and justify every sales and marketing spend’. He continues: ‘As a result, we’ve added key industry players to our management team to not only support new and expanding client relationships, but also drive our continued investment in our service offerings.’
