In the UK, Opinion Leader has appointed former Consensus Research executive Olivier Boelman as Associate Director. Boelman has more than ten years’ experience in the market research industry, gained in the Netherlands and the UK. Prior to joining, Boelman spent five years at Consensus Research, where his work covered B2B and B2C audiences, predominantly in the financial services sectors. Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Consultant at TNS for five years, and as a Project Manager at Amsterdam-based consumer specialist Trendbox for three years. He is a graduate in International Political Relations from the University of Amsterdam. ‘Olivier has a strong financial background and his experience of running large scale quant projects will definitely add value to the services we provide,’ said Viki Cooke, Chair of parent firm’s Chime Research and Engagement division. The division – which includes Opinion Leader, Facts International, Ledbury, Naked Eyeand Caucus World – recently recorded a drop in revenue to £4.58m from £7.41m in the prior year period, while operating income dropped 26% to £3m.
