Patricia HughesCanadian online panel firm Vision Critical has appointed industry veteran Patricia Hughes as Executive Vice President of its Consumer Practice, based in the Chicago office.

She joins with more than 30 years’ market research experience, including stints on the client side, research planning in the ad agency world, and executing research on the supplier side of the industry.

Hughes joins after 14 years with GfK, where most recently she served as MD GfK Consumer. Prior to this, she spent seven years in an account planning role with Campbell Mithun Advertising.

During her career, she has gained experience in new product development research, volume forecasting, shopper insights, segmentation and all types of choice-based modeling.

‘Pat Hughes has an excellent reputation, tremendous market research experience and amazing sector knowledge,’ says Vision Critical CEO, Angus Reid. ‘We're honored to have her as part of our team.’

Last month, Vision Critical announced its merger with sister firm, public opinion and MR agency Angus Reid Strategies. The firm recently reported a 75% increase in first-half gross revenue, versus the same period in 2008.
