In the US, Kansas State University (K-State) has appointed Jeffery Morris for the new role of Vice President of Communications and Marketing, to oversee its new marketing research and web design units as well as media relations and printing services.
Morris, who will take up the role on February 1, is currently Chief Communications Officer at the University of Central Missouri, where he has led efforts to rename and reposition the university while serving as a key member of the name change team. Before this, he held numerous senior roles at several ad agencies, where he developed marketing and communications plans for a wide range of clients.
Morris is a 1980 K-State graduate with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, and he also has a master's degree in Marketing Communications from the University of Kansas.
‘Jeff is a dynamic, credible leader with experience of building brands for both private sector companies and the University of Central Missouri,’ stated K-State President Kirk Schulz. ‘I am confident he will be effective in bringing integrated marketing to K-State.’
