Online media analyst and solutions provider BuzzLogic has hired Google veteran Peter O'Sullivan as its new Vice President of Sales.

O’Sullivan will lead BuzzLogic's national sales organization, and drive the introduction of its conversational media advertising solutions. He brings more than 15 years of sales management experience with Silicon Valley tech companies including Google, Geocities and Ziff-Davis. At Google he presided over growth in the Western ad team from four sales people to 53, and from revenue of $19m to $250m.

Founded in 2005, BuzzLogic reaches 68 million unique users, or ‘66% of the blogosphere's total readership’, according to comScore.

O’Sullivan says his new employer is ‘transforming the blogosphere from a volatile unknown to a powerful, well-lit place’, and adds: ‘The social space is very reminiscent of search in its early days – filled with emerging models, innovation and promise.’

BuzzLogic CEO Rob Crumpler says the new arrival will help the company to scale faster in an atmosphere of cautious optimism in the ad market, adding: ‘Peter's track record speaks for itself – he has incredible experience leading teams and driving revenue for some of the biggest technology and media companies in the world.’
