Simon GedmanUK research and marketing insight consultancy McCallum Layton has appointed Simon Gedman as a Senior Research Executive (SRE) within its qualitative department. The agency has also promoted three members of staff.

Headingley, Yorkshire-based McCallum Layton, offers a broad range of services such as new product development, sensory research, market segmentation and analytics.

Last month, the firm launched an online research and insight management solution comprised of quant and qual techniques, together with a secure project management portal, The Hub.

Gedman joins the company with experience across the financial services and FMCG sectors, and a background in NPD, customer satisfaction, usage and attitude and communications testing. Most recently, he worked at Quaestor, where he spent more than three years as an SRE.

In his new role, he will provide support to the agency’s financial sector clients, while focusing on the continued development of its online research services.

In addition, David Power has been promoted to SRE in the quant team, Andrew Shaw now takes on the role of SRE in the qual team, and Lowrie Davies has moved up to the post of Research Executive in the B2B team.
