Melanie HowardIn London, Future Foundation co-founder Melanie Howard has joined marcoms consultancy The Communications Agency, in the newly created role of Director of Insights.

Howard co-founded consumer think-tank The Future Foundation in 1996, and then sold the firm to Experian in 2005. After a spell working as a Head of IT and Media Consulting at the Henley Centre, she re-joined the business as Executive Chair, following a management buy-out. She remains the company’s Chairman.

During her career, Howard’s work has included studies into the impact of changing gender roles on society and business, as well as research into the nature of movement and communications in the networked society.

In her new role, she will be responsible for helping develop insight and trends analysis for The Communications Agency’s clients.

Executive Chairman Robert Prevezer commented: ‘We are delighted to appoint Melanie to this position. Without doubt she is the best in the business.’
