Betsy RellaGlobal consumer research and consulting firm OTX has appointed Betsy Rella as Senior Vice President, Client Development in its Media and Insights Division in New York.

OTX (Online Testing Exchange) was acquired by Ipsos in January for an undisclosed sum. The LA-based firm, which was founded in 2000, provides insights for the entertainment, advertising (traditional and digital), and consumer goods markets.

Rella joins with a 20-year research career in the network and cable TV business. Most recently, she served as VP of Research at Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network, where she oversaw advertising sales and digital media research. Prior to this, she was VP of Research and Planning at VIACOM/MTV, where she built a ratings analysis team to evaluate programming. She began her career at ABC and spent eight years there as Research Director.

In her new role, Rella will oversee all east coast client relationships, including clients of OTX TV Dailies, a syndicated study of 3,150 weekly respondents that provides real-time tracking of pre- and post-premiere marketing metrics. She will report to Eric Villain, OTX EVP of Client Development.
