In the US, research and consulting firm The Pert Group continues to grow with the appointment of seven new employees including Barb Murphy as SVP, and the promotion of ten existing staff, including former Greenfield Online exec Doug Guion. Murphy joins as SVP of Market Planning and Development. She brings more than 20 years of experience in MR and analytics, B2B, brand strategy, business development, marketing strategy and planning & innovation. Prior to joining she was founder and President of her own Kansas City-based strategic marketing consultancy, Strategic Spark, Inc. She worked previously for eight years with direct response agency BKV Inc., latterly as President. Guion, who becomes SVP Client Service Administration & Operations, joined Pert less than a year ago as VP of Operations and has had considerable success making the firm’s business processes more scalable. At Greenfield, he was VP of North American Operations and GM for the Toronto, ON operational headquarters, having joined as a Traffic Coordinator/Database Manager in 1998. The other six new hires are Donna Patton, Group Director, who brings 25 years of MR experience, lately with TNS, where she was responsible for both account growth/management and team management; Teresa Fryer, also a former TNS exec, who joins as Senior Insights Manager; Alex Camacho, Consultant, who has worked in MR, brand and marketing strategies in the US, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America; Christopher Biviano, Lead Generation Specialist, formerly of Harris Interactive and PluggedIN; Christine Connolly, Lead Graphic Specialist, formerly of Martino & Binzer, KPMG LLP and BIGfish Communications; and Lisa Fiducia, Senior Design Specialist. Promoted employees are Regan Mik, Senior Account Director; Heather Mitchell, Qualitative Director; Sandy Rubino, Senior Account Manager; Megan Johnston, Senior Account Director; Kyle Letendre, Insights Manager; Mike Marcoux, Insights Manager; Ola Ingram-Ford, Research Associate; Cathy Frank, Senior Data Processing Specialist; Sheila Minnifield, Field Director; and Jackie Spagnoletti, Senior Field Specialist.
