IAB UK
June 1 2010

Alex KozloffIn the UK, the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) – the trade body for online and mobile advertising – has appointed media researcher Alex Kozloff as Mobile Manager, to expand its mobile research and education programme.

Kozloff joins from online ad network Unanimis where she worked as Media Research Manager for nearly three years. Prior to this, she oversaw media research for both online and mobile at Orange, prior to its acquisition of Unanimis. Earlier in her career, she worked at a Research Executive at IPG-owned media agency Initiative.

Working alongside Head of Mobile Jon Mew, Kozloff’s new role will involve driving the expansion of the IAB Mobile offering. She will be working on projects including a study to understand the place of mobile commerce in business, and examining the effectiveness of marketing to consumers via SMS/MMS.

In addition, she will be launching a book for brands on mobile advertising and creativity.

‘With her strong research background and direct experience within two of the IAB’s biggest members, Alex’s understanding of the mobile industry is second to none,’ states CEO Guy Phillipson. ‘This is a critical time in the medium’s development and there’s a great deal more to do in proving its efficacy and showing brands how it can work for them, and we’re confident Alex can rise to the challenge.’

Kozloff adds that she is looking forward to delivering research projects that ‘illuminate and demystify’ mobile marketing.
