US shopper communication specialist Harte-Hanks has promoted Jeff Simpson to the post of Senior Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Customer Insight within its Direct Marketing division.

Harte-Hanks provides direct marketing services and shopper advertising opportunities to local, regional, national and international consumer and business-to-business marketers.

Simpson, who joined the firm more than two years ago, will now deliver client-specific multichannel strategies that are based on customer insights. During his time with the firm, he has utilized media, customer and market research, customer relationship management (CRM), analytics and PR to formulate and implement business growth strategies.

He previously worked client side, as the VP of Marketing for Belk Department Stores, and prior to this for a number of retailers and brands including Saks Department Store Group, Apple, State Farm Insurance, Nike, Adidas, Budweiser and BellSouth.

‘Jeff understands how to apply the insights that both business-to-consumer and business-to-business companies can gain from a more complete view of customer interactions,’ stated Gary Skidmore, President of Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing.
