Bob FawsonOrem, Utah-based data collection firm Western Wats has promoted Bob Fawson to the position of Vice President of Online Services, responsible for growing its portfolio of online sampling methods, and improving methods to manage the firm’s online panel inventories.

Founded in 1987, Western Wats gathers data online and via telephone for business and government organizations. The firm maintains online research panels across North America and Europe and a network of telephone interviewing centers with facilities in the US and the Philippines.

The firm recently announced plans to create 170 new jobs in Casa Grande, AZ; Pittsburg, KS; and Brookings, SD.

Fawson joined Western Wats after completing dual Master’s Degrees in Political Science and Applied Economics at Utah State University in 2007.

In his new role, Fawson will also be responsible for developing tailored online sampling solutions, and he will guide Western Wats’ efforts to build panels in international markets.

‘Bob’s education, industry experience, and research background give him a unique perspective about online market research,’ said CEO David Haynes. ‘It was an easy decision to have him head up our online services and we are confident in his ability to develop and improve our online panel inventory.’
