US non-profit health insurance firm Health Alliance Plan (HAP) has transferred Mary Ann Tournoux to its Michigan office as Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer.

Headquartered in Detroit, HAP serves approximately 500,000 members and 1,700 employer groups.

Tournoux joins the Michigan-based team with more than 20 years’ marketing management and health plan leadership experience. She previously worked for HAP in Urbana, Illinois, where she served as VP of Sales & Marketing.

Prior to this, Tournoux served as VP, Sales & Marketing for HomeTown Health Network in Ohio, and earlier in her career she held sales positions in the medical supply and steel industries.

In her new role, she will lead product and service market strategy, and be responsible for market research, advertising, comms and PR.

William Alvin, President and CEO, says Tournoux is ‘a highly seasoned executive with a superb track record of achievement across a broad spectrum of responsibilities’.
