In the US, amusement resort operator Cedar Fair has promoted Lee Ann Alexakos to the post of Vice President of Marketing & Advertising, with responsibility for advertising and marketing strategy, pricing, marketing research, sales and promotions. Headquartered in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Fair owns and operates 11 amusement parks, six outdoor water parks, one indoor water park and five hotels. Alexakos, who has worked for the firm for more than 30 years, previously served as Corporate VP of Marketing & Advertising, and before this as Director of Marketing and in other positions in Group Sales, Marketing Research and Corporate Marketing Services. ‘Over the last four years, Lee Ann has played a key role in creating a clear strategic direction for the successful integration of the marketing functions of our five acquired parks,’ states Chairman, President and CEO Dick Kinzel. ‘I know she is well prepared for the responsibilities and challenges she will face as she continues to develop new marketing opportunities and partnerships for our parks.’ Web site: www.cedarfair.com .
