Pharmaceutical industry veteran Jeffrey A. Winton has been appointed as VP of Communications at Eli Lilly, effective October 11th. He will become a member of the Eli Lilly and Company Global Corporate Affairs Leadership Team, and will report to Bart Peterson, SVP Corporate Affairs and Communications. Winton will be responsible for communications across Lilly, overseeing corporate, product and employee communications, issues management, and digital and social communications. Most recently, he was co-owner and managing partner of West Mill Consulting in Long Valley, NJ; and interim head, communications and public relations for Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals following its merger with Schering AG (Berlex). Before this, he worked at Schering-Plough Corporation, Pharmacia, Hoffmann-La Roche and American Cyanamid Company.
