Research and technology firm Vision Critical has appointed Cognos veteran Ad Voogt to its Board of Directors, to bring a European perspective to the company.
Voogt joined business intelligence provider Cognos in 1986, and latterly worked there as VP EMEA Business Analytics, helping the firm through the transitionary period after its acquisition by IBM.
In March, he left to set up his own consultancy Voogt Management, which offers business plan and sales strategy development. He began his career as a computer programmer.
‘We’re pleased to bring in an individual with Ad’s level of European business acumen,’ states CEO Angus Reid. ‘His deep understanding of European markets, and his strategic consultancy background, will no doubt prove to be huge assets as our company continues to strengthen European operations.’
