Connie MattoxIn the US, Brooks Adams Research (BAR) has promoted consumer behavior specialist Connie Mattox to the position of Chief Executive Officer, from her former role of Research Consultant.

Richmond, Virginia-based BAR offers clients a full spectrum of quant and qual research to track changing consumer preferences and trends. The firm also has a panel of more than 130,000 consumers.

To date at BAR, Mattox has used qual techniques and non-traditional focus groups and worked in areas including consumer profiling, observational research, product testing and satisfaction studies.

Before joining, she worked at Ukrop's Super Markets as Consumer Insights Manager, focusing on shopper research and marketing efforts to grow the retailer’s private label brands. Earlier, she served as Consumer Researcher and Brand Manager for Tredegar Corp, and as VP of Belli Skincare.

In her new role, she will oversee BAR’s day-to-day operations, while developing new research techniques.
