Auto manufacturer Nissan Americas has promoted Dave Mazur to the post of Vice President, Marketing Intelligence, Business Transformation & Corporate Service, responsible for the firm’s market and consumer research in the region.

In North America, Nissan's operations include automotive styling, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.

Mazur joined the firm in 2006 as VP, Marketing Intelligence and Brand. Before this, he worked for General Motors, where he served as Executive Director, North America Advanced Vehicle Development and Portfolio Planning.

In his new role, as well as research responsibilities, he will also oversee the company’s structured problem-solving and business process improvement efforts, as well as its security operations and facilities management.

‘Dave's oversight of both market intelligence and our regional business processes will help us more directly translate what we hear from customers into actionable improvement plans,’ states Carlos Tavares, Chairman, Nissan Americas. ‘This is critical in an increasingly competitive market environment.’
