Justin GibbonsIn the UK, Havas-owned media planning and buying agency Arena Media has appointed Justin Gibbons, founding partner of qual media specialist Work Research, as its part-time Head of Behavioural Economics.

Gibbons takes up the newly-created role with responsibility for integrating behavioural economics into the Arena Media planning process, having previously worked for the agency as a Consultant.

He will report to Head of Planning Sarah Heyworth, who comments: ‘We think that behavioural economics has such genuine unlocked potential for our clients that it should be at the core of our planning. Justin's understanding of the discipline is second to none and will set us apart from other media agencies.’

Gibbons will continue to work part-time at London-based Work Research, which he founded five years ago. His firm, which offers a range of tools and techniques that cover the entire communications spectrum, recently partnered with Ipsos MediaCT to launch ‘Work with Ipsos’; a qual joint venture offering research tailor-made for media, content and technology companies wishing to explore new models of insight and research.
