Katie ShearnSocial and consumer trends specialist The Trajectory Partnership has appointed Katie Shearn, previously of Opinion Leader and Quaestor, to the newly created post of Head of Research and Consultancy.

Last year the company acquired the GLIMPSES trends database from research, consultation and communication charity The Tomorrow Network - the database is used to study social and consumer behaviour across 20 countries, and Trajectory says its growth is one reason for the creation of new roles within the company.

Shearn was previously an Associate Director at Opinion Leader, and before this worked with Quaestor Research and Marketing Strategists in Leeds. In May 2010 she worked with Trajectory to design a programme of deliberative research for O2 Media, helping them engage with 80 leaders of the advertising industry and look collaboratively at the future of mobile advertising.

Paul Flatters, Trajectory’s Managing Partner, said: ‘Having worked with Katie, in a previous role and here at Trajectory I know that she brings with her a great deal of expertise and creativity in both the public and private sectors. Head of Research and Consultancy is one of two new posts that we have created at Trajectory in May.’
