In the UK, Virgin Holidays has appointed former O2 exec Sam Otter as Head of Loyalty and Customer Insight, responsible for developing the firm’s retention strategy.

Most recently, Otter was Head of Direct Marketing at O2, where she worked on UK strategies for customer loyalty, convergence and brand protection.

In her new role, she reports to Marketing Director Andrew Shelton, who comments: ‘Sam’s got some fantastic experience and a very strong career history to date, so we’re really delighted to have her join the team. These are exciting times for our brand, and customer loyalty and insight have never been so important. I’m sure she’ll have a very positive impact.’

Otter replaces Kyri Kilakos, who is leaving the firm after six years working as Head of Insight.
