Stan GreenbergWashington, DC-based polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner has promoted Adam Slater to the role of Director of Research Operations, and three other members of staff - Andrew Baumann, Melissa Egelsky and Drew Lieberman - to Vice President.

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner specializes in using data and research to inform communications strategies - ‘whether for presidents of countries or presidents of corporations’. Last year, the company opened an office in London, following an opening in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2009.

Slater has worked on the firm’s quant and qual projects since 2007. In this new role, he will oversee both domestic and international research, and will manage all field operations including the firm’s ancillary call center, Sun Surveys.

Prior to joining, he served in the office of US Congressman Steve Rothman, where he worked as the Field Representative and Outreach Director, while coordinating Rothman’s campaign and working on the campaign of Senator Bob Menendez. In the 2004 Presidential Election, he worked with Grassroots Campaigns, led a fundraising office in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Committee, and later led a Philadelphia-Metro Get-Out-The-Vote effort.

Baumann, who has been with the company since 2007, specializes in US campaigns and political issues. He has also authored several commentaries on issues such as the budget debate and social security.

Egelsky joined the firm in 1998 as an intern, and now has a broad range of both domestic and international clients. She currently handles research and strategic advice for issue organizations, advocacy groups and domestic political campaigns. In her new role, she will continue to provide analysis and strategy for US political campaigns and issue advocacy.

Before joining the company in 2006, Lieberman managed several congressional campaigns and service at a regional political desk at DCCC. During his career he has advised candidates at all levels, and worked with issue advocacy organizations, corporations, foundations and the media.

GQR Chairman and CEO Stan Greenberg (pictured) comments: ‘Baumann, Egelsky, Lieberman, and Slater continue in their new positions with a high level of expertise and understanding. They are tested and experienced. All are a representation of our firm’s growth.’
