Richard HuntingfordIn the UK, insight and communications group Creston has appointed HEART FM founder Richard Huntingford to its Board as a non-Executive Director (NED) and Chairman of its Remuneration Committee.

Founded in 2001, Creston comprises three divisions: Insight, Communications and Health. Insight includes the firms Marketing Sciences and ICM.

Huntingford joins with more than 25 years’ plc experience, most of which has been in the media sector. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, where he worked for twelve years, he joined global media business Chrysalis Group as Corporate Development Director where he launched radio station HEART FM, and eventually rose to the position of Group CEO in 2000. He became Chairman of Virgin Radio in 2007.

In addition to his executive career, Huntingford has held a number of non-executive positions including NED of Metro Radio, Chairman of Channel 3 News, NED of Virgin Mobile Holdings (UK) prior to its acquisition by NTL, and Chairman of TV production group Boomerang Plus. Last year, he was appointed Chairman of Prince’s Trust Trading Limited, the commercial events arm of the Prince’s Trust.
