Bill Rock and Matt AslettMartin Schneider has re-joined analyst and data firm 451 Research as Research Manager, to lead a division focused on software applications. The firm has also promoted Bill Rock to Vice President, Corporate Development and Matt Aslett to Research Manager.

451 Research provides insight services to clients in the enterprise IT sector through a range of published research, deep-dive reports, data tools and market sizing research, as well as through conferences and events.

Schneider was a Senior Analyst at 451 before moving to SugarCRM, where he held various executive-level marketing positions. Most recently, he led marketing operations for data solutions provider Basho Technologies.

Simon Robinson, Research Director for Storage and Information Management at 451 Research, comments: ‘we are delighted to have Martin back with us. His knowledge and understanding of the application software space is second to none, while his recent experience in senior marketing roles will add considerable depth to our research in a sector of the industry that is undergoing huge change.’

Since joining the firm in 2008, Rock has led the executions of Uptime Institute/Uptime Institute Professional Services, TheInfoPro and ChangeWave Research. He earlier served as an Associate with Sibson Consulting.

Aslett joined 451 Research in 2007, prior to which he was Deputy Editor of Computer Business Review, and served as Editor, Unix and NT News at Informa.
