In the US, healthcare specialist InCrowd has hired former Rockhopper Research owner Heather Alcott for its newly created position of Vice President of Business Development, responsible for leading the sales organization and driving growth across the firm. Launched in March 2011 by Janet Kosloff, Diane Hayes and Kathleen Poulos, InCrowd offers a DIY platform to connect pharma, medical device and life sciences firms with ‘crowds’ of screened and targeted healthcare professionals. Earlier this month, the firm securedan undisclosed amount of Series A seed funding, which it will use to expand this platform. Alcott previously ran her own full service agency Rockhopper Research, prior to which she served as VP at Market Strategies. Earlier, she was Director, US Business Development at communications firm PRP, where she sold quant projects including international focus groups, face-to-face interviewing studies, and multi-country CATI projects. Before this she worked at Bizrate, and at ACNielsen in the UK and US.
