In the UK, Harris Interactive has appointed James MacAonghus as a Research Director in the TMT division (Technology, Media and Telecoms) and Lucia Juliano as Sector Head for Products. MacAonghus joins from Aqute Research – a firm he co-founded, where he worked as Managing Director. Prior to this, he worked at the United Nations as a Digital Strategy Advisor, and held research and IT/Tech posts at Jupiter Research, Anderson Consulting, Barclays Bank and IBM. In his new role, MacAonghus will be responsible for handling one of the division’s largest accounts. His specialisms include Internet, mobile and digital trends. Commenting on the appointment, Jinty Weldon, Head of TMT, said: ‘In addition to his superb market knowledge, James has an enviable reputation as a great thinker, brilliant communicator and an inspirational presenter.’ Juliano brings 10 years’ client-side experience to the team having previously held senior insight roles at Homebase, Carlsberg and Boots. As Sector Head, she will be responsible for developing the firm’s business in the retail, automotive, food and drink, consumer durables, personal care, public sector and travel markets.
