Theresa LaMontagneIn the US, Aegis-owned media agency Carat has appointed former Yahoo! research Director Theresa LaMontagne as SVP Data Analytics and Insight, to focus on bringing together behavioral data with consumer research.

LaMontagne was previously Director, Media and Sales Research at Yahoo! where she oversaw all domestic and sales research. Before this, she was Associate Director, Communications Insights at ad agency BBDO/OMD, and VP Product Development at Simmons Market Research where she managed the data collection and product departments and was responsible for the firm’s syndicated studies. She began her career in clinical neonatal development research, after graduating with a BA in Psychology from Ithaca College.

In her new role, she will report to Mike Hess, the former Director of Global Research and Consumer Insights at ad agency OMD, who joined Carat as EVP-Research, Marketing Science and Consumer Insight earlier this month. She will work alongside Michelle Lynn, Senior VP, Carat Insight.

Carat President Martin Cass said that hiring LaMontagne will enhance the company's position as a ‘consumer-centric, digitally ahead media company’.
